Services Held
Services for Lowell G. Perry, 86, of Ferguson, were held October 13, 2001, at Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ. Rev. Rollin Watters officiated the services. Burial was in Restland Cemetery in Baxter.
Lowell passed away October 9, 2001, at his home.
Lowell was born February 18, 1915, in Jasper County, the son of Oscar and Laura Hennaman Perry. He was raised in Baxter and Marshall county and attended Baxter High School. He served in the United States Army during World War II and served in California and Alaska. He was married to Marie Van Houweling. After her death, he later married Katie Heemstra. He farmed the Jasper County area and lived in Baxter and Arkansas prior to moving to Ferguson. He had lived in Monroe for 23 years.
Survivors include stepsons and daughter; Don and Marilyn Van Baale of Monroe, and Eva Curtis of Cedar Rapids; 4 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn Runner of Ferguson and Velma Schmidt of Rhodes; a brother and sister-in-law, Lester and Helen of Baxter; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both wives; his parents; a sister; and two brothers.
