Life Story of Mrs. Charles Perry
Funeral services for Mrs. Charles (Cynthia Amanda) Perry were held Thursday, Feb. 24, at the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Monroe. Rev. Warren McFate, pastor of the Monroe United Methodist Church, officiate. Burial was in Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Mrs. J. M. Dockum sang “Good Night and Good Morning” and “The Old Rugged Cross” accompanied by Mrs. John Le Grand, organist.
Mrs. Perry, 88 passed away at Skiff Memorial Hospital in Newton February 22.
The daughter of Henry and Abigail Harrison Stines, Cynthia was born July 4, 1883, three miles east of Monroe.
She was united in marriage to Charles Perry of Galesburg in 1905. The couple lived and farmed around the Laurel and Clemons areas.
Mrs. Perry is survived by her son, Mark C. Perry of Russell.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles, who died January 15, 1967; and a son, Worth Perry, who passed away February 18, 1967.
