Life Story of Syke Sarah Quick
Mrs. Will (Syke Sarah) Quick, 85, a longtime resident of the Monroe community, died Wednesday at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services were held Friday at the Monroe Garden Chapel.
The Rev. Wayne K. Anderson, pastor of the Monroe Baptist Church, conducted the services. Burial was in Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Survivors are her husband; a sister in The Netherlands; a brother-in-law, Walter Quick; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Werner, she was born February 7, 1887, in The Netherlands.
She was married February 26, 1920, in The Netherlands.
Mrs. Quick moved to Iowa from The Netherlands following her marriage.
