Services for Carol Jean Quick were held Friday July 28, 2006, at Wallace Family Funeral Home. Interment was immediately following the funeral service at Newton Union Cemetery.
Carol Quick passed away July 23, 2006.
Memorials in Carol’s name may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home.
She was born August 4, 1943. Carol was a homemaker. She had also worked at the Derby Restaurant in Derby, Iowa; and at BC & BS in Des Moines, Iowa, as a microfilm operator. She grew up in Maquoketa, Delmar and Clinton, Iowa before moving back to Newton in 2000. Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, doing crafts, bird watching, bowling, and playing cards and dice. She also enjoyed Christmas and doing Christmas decorating.
Survivors are her 3 sons, James D. (Lynn) Wing of Clear Lake, Iowa, Edwin L. (Teresa) Quick of Newton, and Jimmy A. Quick, Jr. of Newton; 2 daughters, Machelle R. (Dale) James of Reasnor, Iowa, and Jennifer L. (Josh Heward) Quick of Urbandale, Iowa; 3 stepsons, Rick (Danette) McBroom of Derby, Iowa, Duane McBroom of Humeston, Iowa, Todd (Rhonda) McBroom of Runnells, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 5 sisters; and 4 brothers.
