Catherine Moden, 91, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010, at Altoona Nursing Home and Rehab. Graveside services for Catherine Moden were held Saturday, January 16, 2010, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Catherine.
She was born on August 9, 1918, in St. Mary’s, Iowa to Francis Power and Ellen Cecelia Pickens. Catherine was a cook with the Des Moines Public Schools and was a member of the American Legion.
She is survived by her sons, Francis (Stella) Moden and Gary (Lynette) Moden; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Mike Lagergren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; and daughter, Gail Lagergren.
