Services Held
Funeral services for Harry O. Miller, 82, of Colfax, were held Thursday, August 25, 1988, at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax.
Burial was in Vandalia Cemetery.
He died Sunday, August 21, 1988, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are two sons, LaVern of Des Moines and Layton of Mingo; two daughters, Mary Holt of Scottsdale, Ariz.; and Mildred Dobbs of Colfax; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Icle Hawkins of Monroe and Mabele Baker of Des Moines; and two brothers, Lewis Miller of Prairie City and Charlie Miller of Runnells.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister.
The son of David and Emily Blood Miller, he was born Aug. 15, 1906 in Ankeny.
He was married to Bertha Mae Hawkins Nov. 2, 1927 in Polk County.
