Life Ends at 78 Years
Mrs. Eva M. Michel died at her home near Clovis Wednesday, July 10, 1907; she was born in Manchiern, Germany, July 26, 1829. Deceased was the mother of nine children, two of whom survive her, Charles, with whom she has lived for several years, and a daughter Mrs. Ricka Herbel of Iowa, now on a visit in Germany. One brother and one sister, both older than Mrs. Michel, live, the sister at Visalia, the brother in Iowa.
Mrs. Michel lived at her late home since 1890 and was held in high esteem by the people of this community whose kindly sympathy goes out to the bereaved son and his wife whose every care was the comfort of the aged mother.
Funeral services were held at the M. E. church in Clovis Thursday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Odom preaching the discourse, and the body was laid away in the W. O. W. cemetery.
