Nevada - Richard M. Neal, 43, Nevada, died Saturday, October 15, at the Story County Hospital in Nevada. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 18 at 9:30 a.m. from the at the Ryan Funeral Home. Rev. Father Franz Lohberg will officiate with burial in the St. Joseph Cemetery in Granville.
Neal, born in Mingo to Milton and Pearl Pettit Neal, had been a Nevada resident for seven years. A clerk at the Farm and Home Store, he was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the American legion.
Survivors include his wife, Carol, three daughters, Barbara Ann and Staci at home and Martha Colleen of Boone; one brother, Lewis Neal of Boone; five sisters, Evelyn Anderson of Mingo, Kate Gulling of Colfax, Marion Kasal of Chelsea, Charlene Wagner of Craig, Colo., and Viola Neal of Des Moines.
Preceding him in death was his parents, one daughter and one sister.
A memorial fund has been established.

Richard M. Neal, 43, of Nevada, a former Mingo resident, died Saturday, October 15 at his home in Nevada.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, October 18, at Ryan's Funeral Home in Nevada.

Richard Neal Services Held
Richard (Dick) Neal, 43, of Nevada, Iowa. died Saturday, October 15, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1934, in Mingo, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Neal.
He married Carol Mitchell of Grandville in 1964.
He made his home with his brother before going into the service. He was a member of the armed services for 13 years.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Tracy, and a sister Lillian Bowman.
Survivors include his wife Carol; three daughters, Barbara and Stacey Neal and Martha Hunter; a brother Louis Neal of Boone; five sisters, Catherine Gulling of Colfax, Charlene Wagner of Arizona, Marion Kasal of Chelsea, Evelyn Anderson of Mingo and Viola Neal of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held at the Ryan Funeral Home in Nevada Tuesday, October 18.
Officiating was Father Franz Lohberg. Interments was at St. Joseph Cemetery in Grandville, Iowa.
