Life Story of Neil McKee
Funeral services were held April 14th at the Monroe United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry Wolcott conducting the services. Interment was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Neil McKee, son of David and Alice Reasnor McKee, was born near Knoxville, Iowa on Feb. 15, 1888, and entered into rest on April 11 at the Skiff Hospital in Newton at the age of 90 years, one month and 26 days.

On December 30, 1914, he was united in marriage to Esther Lust in the Tools Chapel area near Monroe. Mr. McKee worked as a blacksmith and farmer was well as being employed in the maintenance department of the Maytag Company.

Mr. McKee is survived by his wife Esther, two daughters; Mrs. Lyle (Mildred) Tool of Monroe and Mrs. Ruth Parsons of Newton, 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother Wade McKee of Lebanon, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers and sisters. Mr. McKee was a member of the United Methodist Church in Monroe.
