Meek Marshall Dies on Monday
Monroe – Meek Marshall, 85, a longtime resident of the Monroe community, died Monday evening at the Stewart Nursing Home at Altoona.
Funeral services have been set tentatively for 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Crumpacker Funeral Home in Monroe.
Mr. Marshall is survived by a son, Chester of Monroe; and three daughters, Ruth Justice of Independence, Mo., Olive Brandenburg of Aztec, N.M.; and Edith Nee of San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Mr. Marshall, a resident of the nursing home for several years, farmed west of Monroe for many years.
