Funeral services were held for Elizabeth Mattie Loynachan on April 22, 1989 at the Williams Funeral Home in Knoxville. Rev. Gerald McGee officiated with interment in the Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville. She died April 19, 1989 at the Knoxville Area Community Hospital.
Mattie Elizabeth Loynachan was born Dec. 16, 1905 in Marion County, one of nine children born to Dora Valerie Gee and Kieber Noftager. She was married to Charles Ray Loynachan on December 18, 1929. To this union one child was born.
Her survivors include one daughter: Mrs. Doyle (Opal) Van Der Hart of Monroe, two grandchildren: Mike Van Der Hart and his wife Jodi of Monroe and Carol Van Der hart of Des Moines; two great grandchildren; two sisters: Violet Fee of Knoxville and Mildred Noftager of Knoxville; and two brothers: Bill Noftager and Kieber Noftager both of Knoxville.
