Services Held
Orphy L. Jones Love, 82, of the Jasper County Care Facility southeast of Newton, died Tuesday, December 7, 1993, at the care facility of complications of Alzheimer’s Disease.
Funeral services were held Friday at the First United Methodist Church Chapel.
The Rev. Warren J. McFate, retired pastor of the United Methodist church, conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Memorials to the Jasper County Alzheimer’s Support Group will be accepted.
Survivors are her husband, Clifford; a son, Joel, of Oskaloosa; two daughters, Dawn (Mrs. Kenneth) Neff of Monroe and Kay (Mrs. William) Bollig of Bettendorf; seven grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Ellis of Sun City, Arizona; and a brother, Albert Jones of Tennessee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.
Mrs. Love, a homemaker, was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a past member of the Newton Chapter 100 Order of Eastern Star and TTT Club.
The daughter of John and Lucinda Spangle Jones, she was born July 16, 1911, in Buxton and was a 1929 graduate of Attica High School.
She was married to Clifford R. Love January 21, 1933 in Attica.
