Newton, IA – Services for Georgia Livingston, 96, of Newton, who died of a heart ailment Friday at a Prairie City manor, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Wallace-Pence Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Mrs. Livingston was born in Monroe and lived in California for several years before moving to Newton in 1951. She was a Jasper County rural school teacher and was retired from the Jasper County auditor’s office.
Survivors include two stepsons, Bruce Livingston of Lander, Wyo., and Burt R. Livingston of Newton; a stepdaughter, Marcia Harrington of Newton; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to United Presbyterian Church in Newton.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. today at the funeral home.

Services Held
Funeral services for Mrs. Ralph B. (Georgia) Livingston, 96, of Midtown Apartments, a longtime resident of Jasper County, were held at 2 p.m. May 6, 1985, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
The Rev. Doug Maben conducted services. Burial was in the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
She died Friday afternoon, May 5, at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Survivors are two stepsons, Bruce Livingston of Lander, Wyo., and Burt R. Livingston of Newton; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Leo (Marcia) Harrington of Newton; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Cecil Roach.
The daughter of Robert Nathan and Amanda Jane Hill Roach, she was born Nov. 5, 1888 in Monroe and was graduated from Monroe High School.
She was married July 28, 1951 in Las Vegas, Nev.
