Services Held
Velma Lester, 82, of Monroe, died Saturday, July 16, 1988 at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.
Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Monroe Garden Chapel Funeral Home.
Elder Arthur Nichols of the Knoxville Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints conducted services.
Burial was in Dunreath Cemetery south of Monroe.
The daughter of Jasper and Mary Carnahan Wilson, she was born Dec. 1905, in Jasper County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Elmer Lutz, her second husband, John Lester, two sisters and two brothers.
