Elsie Bernice Graham, 84, died Monday, July 18 at Newton Health Care. Visitation will be at Pence ~ Reese Funeral Home in Newton Friday, July 22 at Noon followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Knoxville, IA.

Elsie was preceded in death by her husband Robert Charles Graham. Elsie was a longtime resident of Newton and worked at Hamilton’s Upholstery for almost 29 years until the business closed in 1995. Prior to retiring in 2007 Elsie worked at Boyd’s Satellite.

The youngest of five children, Elsie was born in Grants Pass, Oregon and moved to Newton with her husband in 1966. Elsie is survived by her sister, Lelah Myers and sons, Steve Longacre and Marlin Graham and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In retirement Elsie was active with the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and the Newton chapter of Alcoholics Anonymous. ~ The Pence Reese Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 18 July 2016.
