ELISHA HARTSOCK
PASSES AWAY
IN LYNNVILLE

Lynnville, Ia., Nov. 14. Special:

Elisha B. Hartsock, son of John and Margaret Hartsock, was born in Jefferson Co., Ind., Apr. 12, 1858 and grew to manhood in Indiana. He was united in marriage to Lizzie Earhart. To this union was born one son, John W. Hartsock.

He passed away Nov. 9, 1933 about 3:30 p.m., after an illness of three weeks, at the home of his only child, where he has made his home the past 23 years. He died at the age of 75 years, six months and 27 days.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lizzie, and sisters, Anna Redfern, Ellen Cheneworth, Emma Perry, and one brother, George W. Hartsock. Those left to mourn their loss are his son and wife, Mr. and Mrs. John Hartsock of Lynnville; one sister, Hanna Pickerel of Peru, Nebr., who was unable to come on account of sickness, also several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held from the home with Rev. Giles Youngquist in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Will Allee, Mrs. Harvey Gause, A.T. Gifford and Charles Wagaman. Pallbearers were Mose Sparks, Ray Sparks, Harold Ratcliff, Will Zimmerman, Frank Coffey and Charles Briggs. Burial was in the Salem cemetery.
