Life Story of Minnie Kruseman
Mrs. Thomas J. (Minnie) Kruseman, who resided in Monroe for many years, passed away late Friday night, Aug. 25, at the age of 78 years, 10 months and six days.
Minnie was born October 19, 1893, the daughter of John H. and Mary Van Haaften Vroom.
She was a member of the Otley Reformed Church.
Surviving her are four sisters, Mrs. John H. (Jennie) Van Zee of Fairhaven, Mrs. A. E. (Josie) Van Zee of Pella, Mrs. Morris (Katie) Ver Meer of Pella, and Mrs. Bert (Louise) Spoelstra of Monroe; a brother, Jim J. Vroom of the Pella Community Nursing Home; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kruseman was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas, who died in 1948; a brother, John Vroom; and two sisters, Mrs. Tunis (Nellie) Verros and Mrs. Henry (Marie) DeBruin.
Mrs. Kruseman was employed at Central College for 13 years before retiring.
Funeral services for Mrs. Kruseman were held Monday, Aug. 28, at the Garden Chapel in Pella. Rev. Ralph Vander Pol officiated.
Mrs. Donald DeReus was organist and accompanied Mrs. Elmer Rietveld, vocalist.
Casket bearers were Marvin C. Ver Meer, Elmer G. Van Zee, Richard Voskuil, Ralph Kruseman, Melvin Brummel, and Floyd Brummel.
Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.
