Ohio, Ill. – Mrs. Clyde E. (Anna S.) Koons, 69, of Ohio, Ill., a former Jasper County area resident and teacher, died Wednesday, Oct. 2, at KSB Hospital in Dixon, Ill.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church in Ohio, Ill.
The Rev. Bob Smith and the Rev. Will Currens will conduct services.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
The Rev. Dick Kolenbrander will conduct burial services.
Preston-Schilling Funeral Home in Dixon, Ill., is handling arrangements.
Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Rodney (Dodie) Fetterolf of Dixon, Ill.; three grandchildren; three brothers, George Slocum of Hemet, Calif., Tom Slocum of Geneseo, Ill., and Clair Slocum of Bondurant; and a sister, Doris Lee of Pella.
She was a member of the Methodist Church in Ohio, Ill., and the Retired Teacher’s Association.
Mrs. Koons had taught elementary school in Marion County, Ohio and Ashton, Ill., and Liberia, West Africa.
The daughter of Zach G. and Nora Tradewell Slocum, she was born July 16, 1916 in Weld County, Colo.
She was married Aug. 3, 1940 in Otley.
