Funeral Services to be Saturday
Funeral services for Ross Kane of Monroe will be Saturday, Oct. 11 at 2:00 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Monroe with Rev. Warren J. McFate, officiating.
A lifelong resident of the Monroe area, Mr. Kane passed away October 7 in the Veterans Hospital in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Ross (Grace Gettes) Kane; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lyons of Elmore, Minn. and several nieces and nephews.

Life Story of Ross Kane
Services for Ross Kane, 77, longtime resident of Monroe were Saturday at Monroe United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Warren McFate, minister of the church, officiated and burial was in Monroe Silent City Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Dean Vaught, Wayne Worth, Wayne Nearmyer, Carl Crane, Clare McCauley, and Raymond Rickabaugh.
Surviving are his widow, Grace; a sister, Mrs. Mary Lyons of Elmore, Minn., and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Kane was a member of the American Legion. A retired farmer, he was a veteran of World War I.
The son of Thomas and Elizabeth Cowman Kane, he was born November 26, 1891, at Fairmont community in Jasper County.
He was married to Grace Gettes February 26, 1920, in Des Moines.
