Kane, Phoebe – 1880-1937

Miss Phoebe Kane was born February 23rd, 1880 on a farm near Monroe, Iowa, and departed from this life, at the Skiff Memorial Hospital at Newton, Iowa on January 21st, 1937, at the age of 66 years, 10 months and 28 days.
She lived on the farm west of here the greater part of her life, and moved to this town on March 10th, 1921.
One brother, Daniel B. Kane, of Fairmount, Iowa, and a number of nieces and nephews and friends survive her.
Funeral services were held at the Pentecostal Church in Monroe.
Mrs. Carl Crane was the pianist, and the Misses Almeda and Gerdena Green, Mary Crane and Martha Kane sang “Somebody Cares", and “We are going down the Calley.”
The pall bearers were Albert Ammer, Mel Rinehart, John Wagner, Ed Pendroy, Early Pendroy and Will Brown.
The pastor of the Pentecostal Church, Rev. F. G. Cline, was the minister in charge.
Interment was at the Monroe Cemetery, Saturday January 23rd.
