Services To Be Held
Herman John Baumann, 79, of Monroe, died Monday evening, Jan. 18, 1988 at the Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Knoxville.
Rev. Jerry Doellinger, pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newton, will conduct services. Burial will be in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Survivors are his wife, Gladys, two brothers, Oscar of Storm Lake and the Rev. Martin of Spokane, Wash.; and a sister, Hilda Roggow of West Bend.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Irvin, four brothers, Walter, Eugene, Edgar and Gerharde and two sisters, Telka Klochow and Paula Fehland.
The son of the Rev. Herman and Ida Koerner Baumann, he was born Nov. 13, 1908, in Laverne, Minn.
He was married to Gladys Ferber June 21, 1931 in Lacona.
