R. L. Bartlett, 50, Dies At Monroe; Rites Wednesday

Monroe – Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Wednesday at the Crumpacker Funeral home for Ralph L. Bartlett, 50, who died early Monday morning at his home in Monroe.
Mr. Bartlett had been ill since stricken with an organic ailment Jan. 3, when he was taken to Collins Memorial Hospital at Knoxville, Ia. He returned to his home last Wednesday where his death occurred at 6:00 a.m.
Born March 16, 1894, at Coloma, Mo., he was one of six children of John R., and the late Levina Butler. On Oct. 21. 1914, he was married to Theresa Browning of Narborne, Mo.
Two children were born to the couple, Ralph Evonne, who is stationed in Camp Gordon, Ga.; and Harold Francis, who died in Infancy.
He had been a resident of Monroe since November 1939. Mr. Bartlett and his son united with the Narborne, Mo., First Baptist Church on Sept. 16, 1931.
In addition to his wife and son, he is survived by his father; five brothers; and three grandchildren. His son and a brother, Ben, of Hale, Mo., arrived during his final illness.
Services will be in charge of the Rev. George S. Pennington, pastor of the Monroe First Methodist Church, and interment will be in the Monroe cemetery.
