Former Resident Dies
Word has been received of the death of Francis W. Barber, 76, 8001 West 71st Street, Arvada, Colo., formerly of Monroe.
He was the son of William P. and Nellie Smith Barber.
Francis was married to Ruth Young and they were the parents of two sons, William and John, and a daughter, Mrs. James (Margaret) Willsey, all of Denver, Colo. There are also seven grandchildren surviving.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Ruth in September, 1957, a brother Floyd and two sisters, Margaret, and Gertrude, who died in infancy.
He was a World War I veteran, a member of the Methodist Church, Monroe American Legion, Monroe Masonic Lodge and Eastern Star.
He was in business with the Barber Lumber Company until his retirement.
Funeral services for Mr. Barber were held Tuesday morning at Denver, Colo. with burial at Colorado Springs, Colo.
