Patricia M. Forschler, age 77 of Colfax, passed away on Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Burial will follow at Colfax Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 17, 2016, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the church. The family will greet friends from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Colfax Ambulance Unit. The daughter of Cecil and Arlene (Anderson) Rhamy, Pat was born on April 17, 1938, in Corning, Iowa. On February 1, 1959, she was united in marriage to David G. Forschler in Nodaway, Iowa. She worked at Principal Financial in Des Moines for over 32 years. Pat was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church as well as LaFemme Club and WIBC. She enjoyed bowling, quilting, crocheting and riding motorcycles. She was very proud to have crocheted Afghans and made quilts for all of her children and grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Michael Forschler of Colfax, Shelly (Jeff) Goaley of Colfax, Mark Forschler of Ankeny and Mathew (Amy) Forschler of Mingo; 11 grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Joan Haley of Nodaway; two great aunts, Bernice Miller of Corning and Shirley Kimball of Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dean (Marlene) Forschler of Arizona and Judy (Darrell) Temple of Texas as well as many nieces and nephews.

Preceding Pat in death were her parents; husband in 2000; a granddaughter, Kasie Jo; two brothers, Bob Rhamy and Duane Rhamy and a brother and sister-in-law, Don (Martha) Forschler. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 13 Feb 2016.
