Twillia Rose Williams, age 82 of Newton, Iowa, formerly of Centerville, Iowa, passed away Monday, February 08, 2016 at Skiff Medical Center in Newton, Iowa.

Twillia was born to Paul and Carrie Hedgecock January 3, 1934 in Monroe County. Twillia spent her younger years in between Des Moines and Centerville, Iowa. She met and married Don Williams on August 19, 1950 at The Centerville Church of the Nazarene. They left Centerville in 1951 to attend Bethany Nazarene Bible College in Oklahoma to fulfill God's call to the ministry. Upon graduation they returned to Iowa to minister in Mystic, Leon, Oelwein, Atlantic, Lacona, and Cedar Rapids Trinity Church of the Nazarene. She ministered alongside her husband in Children's Church, Sunday School, Bible School, Ladies Ministry and loving her laymen for 45 years on the Iowa Nazarene District.

Twillia is survived by her husband Don Williams, her sister Sheryl Campbell of Des Moines, Iowa, her brother Royal (Irene) Hedgecock of Des Moines, Iowa, her son Don (Becky) Williams of Adel, Iowa, her daughters Donna (Dan) Dannels of Newton, Iowa, Carrie (John) Wehrli of Omaha, Nebraska and Lydia (Robert) Buck of Winfield, Kansas, her 11 grandchildren, 3 honorary grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 2 honorary great grandchildren.

Twillia was preceded in death by her infant son Paul David, mother and father Paul and Carrie Hedgecock, and her brother Doyle Hedgecock.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 12, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Centerville Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Walter King officiating. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the funeral service at the Centerville Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow the funeral service at Haines Cemetery, north of Centerville. Memorials have been established to the Centerville Church of the Nazarene and may be mailed to Lange Funeral Home and Crematory, 1900 S. 18th St., Centerville, Iowa, 52544.
