Karen Marie Fisher, 73, from Windsor Heights, died Dec. 19, 2015 of kidney failure at Mercy West Lakes in West Des Moines.

She was born to Orville and Marie Fuller of Haverhill, Iowa on July 24, 1942. She graduated from Van Cleave High School. then Thompson School of Beauty Culture in 1961. She married Don Fisher, of Baxter, on Sept. 19, 1963.

Karen enjoyed giving others smiles by fixing their hair. She loved garage saling, doing crafts, playing cards, reading, puzzles, attending grandkids events, and visiting with friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don; and a sister, Bonnie Pence.

Karen is survived by two sons, Jeff (Deanna) Fisher and Greg (Teresa) Fisher; four grandchildren: Kyser, Sydney (Kevin) Derry, Zach, and Alec; one step-grandson, Kellon Anderson; brother, George (Paula) Fuller; and brother-in-law, Jim Pence.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 3 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Windsor Presbyterian Church in Windsor Heights, Iowa 50324, with services at 3 p.m. and a reception to follow.
