Nancy Ann (Kintz) Basirico, 65, of Bakersfield, Calif., died at Kindred Acute Care in Perris, Calif., Friday, March 27, 2015. She had a serious lung infection and her heart gave out.
Nancy was born May 20, 1949 in Des Moines to Russell and Ruth (Starr) Kintz. She graduated from Colfax High School with the Class of 1967. Later, she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree major in music from University of California at Santa Barbara and her masters of music at Cal State at Fullerton, Calif. She was a very accomplished pianist and organist and played for the large First United Methodist Church in Bakersfield, Calif. for many years. She was honored with an invitation to play at the largest outdoor organ at Chautauqua, N.Y. She also gave piano lessons to many students, which she enjoyed. Nancy was married to Bart Basirico June 14, 1985. She enjoyed traveling, tending her roses and line dancing.
Survivors include her loving husband, Bart of Bakersfield, Calif.; sister Karen (Keith) Russell of Colfax; brother-in-law Frank (Donna) Basirico of Redlands, Calif.; sister-in-law Joanne Basirico of Riverside, Calif.; nephew Kirk (Anna) Russell of Colfax; niece Keslie Russell (Tim Wolver) of Johnston; great-nephews, Clinton Russell of New York City, Alexander Russell of Newton and Jacob Wolver of Johnston; great-niece Amy Russell of Colfax; and several nephews and nieces in California.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother, Keith Lynn Kintz.
She was cremated and there was no memorial service.
