Theresa Marie Brown Schuemann, 79, of Vancouver, Wash., died at her home Dec. 2, 2015.
Theresa was a star basketball player and graduated from Colfax High School in 1954. Shortly after graduation Theresa married Jimmie Rickey and had six children, Michael Rickey (Debi), Roger Rickey (Paulette), Robin Wild (John), Melissa Mosteller (Jay), Tracy Henning (Trent) and Monty Rickey (Debbie), all surviving. Theresa divorced in 1975, and married to Bud Haigwood in 1987, until his death in 2002. She married Moe Schuemann in 2002, until his death in 2003. Theresa loved to decorate cake and was awesome at tole painting. She was a collector of many items, loved to travel and spend time at the beach. She was proud to a Hawkeye and go back to her class reunion to see old friends. She also loved her precious dogs, Tinkerbell and Daisy. Her daughter Robin became her best friend.
Besides her children, Theresa is survived by five brothers, Tom Brown, Jim Brown, Paul Brown, John (Nancy) and Mike (Gloria); sister, Julie Tungwenuk (Rod); 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Theresa was preceded in death by her parents Preston and Pauline Brown and brother Fred Brown, all of Colfax; and sisters-in-law Annette (Tom), Phyllis (Jim) and Donna (Paul).
