Imogene (Jean) Roberts, 89, died April 26, 2015. She was a happy, loving and giving person. Jean was born in Colfax, but her final place of residence was Dallas, Texas.
Jean was born in 1926. Jean graduated from Colfax High School. She married Bob Roberts in 1945. She was a great home maker and raised her family in West Des Moines. Jean was a member of the Baptist Church and the last church she attended was Travis Avenue Baptist Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jean is survived by her two sons, Craig Roberts (wife Patsy) and David Roberts (wife Nancy); her granddaughter Heide Flemons (husband Ryan); her brother Bobby Brant (wife Joanne); and sister Barbara Ketels (husband Elston). Jean was preceded in death by her husband Bob; and her parents Myron and Amelia Brant.
There will be a graveside service at 4 p.m. May 23 at the Colfax Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association of Des Moines at 1730 28th St., West Des Moines, IA 50266 or call 515 330-2722.
