Those left to honor Darrel’s memory are his wife, Carol of Mingo; son, Sid Noe of Newton; his three grandchildren, MacKinzee Noe of Grinnell, Krystin Noe of Newton and Riley Noe of Colfax; three sisters, Dolores (Duane) Brinegar of Oskaloosa, Darlene Shaffer of Waukee and Bonnie Van Waardhuizen of Newton; two sisters-in-law, Mary Noe of Kellogg and MaryJo Noe of South Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Denny, Dale and Dwight Noe; and sister, Diane Noe.

Darrel served his country in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

Darrel was a lifelong resident of Mingo and graduated from Mingo High School in 1963.

He was a production worker for the Maytag Company in Newton for 32+ years, retiring in October of 1998. Darrel was a member of the Mingo American Legion and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and working out in his yard.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Darrel’s name and they may be left at the funeral home.
