Mona was born on December 1, 1936 and passed away on December 12, 2015.
Mona Perry-Fenner; Devoted mom, grandma, wife, sister, sister in-law, aunt and dear friend, passed away peacefully Saturday December 12th. We are heartbroken beyond words. She was born December 1, 1936 in Wilmont Minnesota, grew up in Newton, Iowa, and raised her children in Minneapolis. She lived the last forty years in Southern California while working in San Diego. She lived the past three years in Laguna Woods with her husband Lee Fenner.

She loved so many things; the beach, traveling, shopping, and most of all animals. Dogs and cats were her favorite. They responded to her with lots of enthusiasm while enjoying her love.

Mona graduated from Newton High School, Newton, Iowa and Palomar Collage, San Marcos, California.

She is survived by her husband Lee, her children, Kimberly (Michael) Gilbert, Fairfield, California, Ric (Tracy) Speas, Encinitas, California, Mark (CeCi) Speas, San Diego, California, Ann (Bill) Hilyard, Laguna Hills, California, Read (Jenn) Fenner, Laguna Hills, California. Grandchildren; Jarrett Gilbert, Nicholas Speas, Dakota Speas, Colton Speas, Logan Fenner and Charlie Fenner. Sister, Marna Warner Thomas and brother in-law John Thomas, Temecula, California. Nephews, Shawn (Karen) Warner, Phoenix, Arizona and Christopher (Ginger) Warner, Crest, California, grand nephews, nieces and cousins.

Mona is predeceased by her parents, Mary Perry Fletcher and John E. Perry and stepfather Les Fletcher, brother in-law Robert O. Warner, and niece Emily Warner.

At her request, no services will be held. The family has planned a private celebration of her life. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa
