Diane Marie Kellen Cook, 71, of Platte City, Mo; passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at her home. Diane was born on January 3, 1944 in LeMars, IA. to Stephen and Frances (Kemp) Kellen.

She married John Kenneth Cook on December 26, 1970 in LeMars, IA. He preceded her in death March 3, 2011.

After she graduated Gehlen Catholic High School, she went to beauty school. She worked in Cherokee, Alton and then in Primghar, IA. where she met her husband John K. Cook who was in accountant for a car dealership in Sibley, IA. Then, move to Newton, IA. she started her own beauty shop in the house with 5 children, 3 Kings and 2 Queens.

In 1984 , they moved to Missouri and John received a kidney transplant in 1989. Diane named the kidney Angela.

Diane & John started Cook's Tax Service , which began in Iowa in the 1970s. Then, Cooks Computer Programming, which began in 1980. In 1995, started CCP Online, one of the first Internet Service Provider in St. Joseph and surrounding areas.

Diane's mottos are Faith, Hope, Charity and Live, Laugh, Love. Mom always found the humor in everything.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen & Frances, two brothers LeRoy & Bob, one sister Syb and 3 babies that died at birth, Phyllis, Mary, Ann and her beloved dog Spritz.

Survivors: three sons; Stephen K Cook, Jason S. Cook and Justin M. Cook. Daughters; Stacey (Jerry) A. Goodman and Amber L. Cook. Grandchildren; Jordan, Abigail, Mavric, and Jack. Two brothers; Donald and Dick Kellen, four sisters; Meg Alesch, Mary Ellen Wittkop, Anita Heidesch and Pat Carl. And Numerous Cousins, Nieces and nephews.

Diane has been cremated under the direction of Heaton-Bowman-Smith & Sidenfaden Chapel .

Memorial Mass: December 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Family Visitations begins at Noon. Parish Rosary at 12:30pm
