Ward, Noah 1872-1909

WARD, BIRCH, WATERMAN, HAYES

Noah Ward, who was taken from Murray to the hospital in Omaha, died last Wednesday. The deceased had been working with a bridge construction gang and was kicked on the shinbone by a horse, while helping on a bridge near John Thomason’s place, northwest of Murray. The injury was considered slight until a physician was called and the alarming infection caused his removal to Immanuel Hospital. Since the first of August he has been a patient sufferer, the ravages of blood poisoning holding him at death’s door for many weeks.

The deceased’s home was at Prairie City, Iowa. He had spent the last seven years, however, at Murray and Union, where he farmed until joining the Nebraska Construction Company the past summer.

He was 37 years of age and leaves a wife, mother and father to mourn his untimely death. Those who knew him well regarded him as a good citizen and one whose honesty and integrity was beyond reproach.
