MRS. C.J. SPARKS,
SULLY RESIDENT, 66,
DIES IN OSKALOOSA

SULLY -- Funeral services will be held tomorrow for Mrs. C.J. Sparks, 66, who died Monday night at Mahaska hospital in Oskaloosa from a cerebral hemorrhage.

She was the wife of Dr. C.J. Sparks, and the couple had lived in Sully since their marriage in 1908. Mrs. Sparks was born Sarah Maude Holmes on Feb. 10, 1884, at Galesburg, Ia.

She was a member of the Methodist church at Galesburg and was a charter member of the Eastern Star lodge at Lynnville.

Survivors include her husband, three sons and two daughters, Dr. Wendell Sparks of Sully, Max Sparks of Sully, Sam Sparks of Pella, Mrs. Lowell Fleener of Ottumwa and Mrs. Jack Pierce of Liverpool, N.Y. Three grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Lottie Wood of Newton, and a brother, Charles Holmes of Galesburg, also survive.

The services will be held tomorrow afternoon at one o'clock at the Community church in Sully. Officiating will be Rev. J.E. Erickson of Sully and Rev. E. Thompson of New Sharon. Burial will be in Woodland cemetery at Lynnville.
