Obituary for Jane Sneller

Jane Marie Lamb was a daughter of Norman Lacey and Violet June Schakel Lamb. She was born on September 25, 1963, at Iowa City, Iowa. Her mother, Violet, passed away when Jane was just twelve years old and she then made her home with her sister, Judy, and her husband, Paul De Kruyff in Pella, Iowa. Jane graduated from Pella Public High School with the Class of 1982 and played the flute during high school. Following her graduation, she lived with friends while working various jobs and at Midland Manufacturing Company in Monroe, Iowa.

On August 24, 1991, she and David Wayne Sneller were united in marriage and to this union one daughter, Mallory Marie, was born. Jane then began working at the Pella Chronicle in Pella. During Tulip Time in 2003 Jane suffered what was later determined as a cerebral hemorrhage with lasting ramifications. She subsequently was cared for at the Heritage Manor in Newton, Iowa where she resided the remainder of her lifetime, however, never lost her pleasant determination. She passed away on November 20, 2015, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa at the age of 52 years.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Mallory Marie Sneller; her two sisters and two brothers and their spouses: Judy and Jack Penman of Runnells, Iowa, Gary and Evelyn Lamb of Pella, Dorothy and Lee Fuller of Pella, Arland and Mari Jo Lamb of Pella; the following sisters-in-law: Marca (Loren) James of Montezuma, Iowa, Pam (Carl) Blommers of Waterloo, Iowa, Clarissa (Norman) Lamb of Pella; along with several nieces and nephews.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents, Violet and Norman Lamb; three brothers: Douglas W. Blommers, A. Carl Blommers, Norman E. Lamb; and a brother-in-law, Paul DeKruyff.
