Erma McMoran, Former Newton Resident, Dies

Mrs. Bill (Erma Gene) McMoran, 55, of Oskaloosa, a former resident of Newton died Monday afternoon at the Mahaska County Hospital in Oskaloosa.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Oskaloosa. Burial will be in Oskaloosa.

Garland Funeral Home in Oskaloosa is handling arrangements.

Survivors are her husband; a son, Steve, of Oskaloosa; two daughters, Donna of Oskaloosa and Carolyn of Omaha, Neb.; and seven grandchildren.

Also surviving are four brothers, Ralph Gullett, Clifford Gullett and Willard Gullett, all of Newton, and Donald Gullett of Peoria, Ill.; and two sisters, Wreatha Banks of San Francisco, Calif., and Dorothy Sosseman of Santa Clara, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband, a daughter in infancy and a sister.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gullett, she was born Sept. 10, 1922 in Hedrick and was a 1940 graduate of Newton Community High School. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Tues 18 Apr 1978.
