Leo Douglas Parsons, 75, of Orange Beach, Ala., died Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, at Orange Beach, Ala.

Leo was born March 13, 1940, in Conroy, to Cleo and Amilee (Cleverly) Parsons. He graduated from Newton High School in 1958. Leo was united in marriage to Phyllis Brodersen Parsons in 1990.

He liked to play the drums, boat, camp and spend time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife Phyllis of Orange Beach, Ala., daughter and son-in-law Carol and Roy Hansen of Birmingham, Ala.; grandchildren, Josh and Alicia Hansen of Monroe,. Justin and Tammy Hansen of Winterset, Joey and Jenna Hansen of Ankeny and Chelsey Jenae Rilatos, Iowa City; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Hansen, Carson Hansen, Nolan Hansen and Emery Jo Hansen.

He is predeceased by his first wife Judy Jo (McMains) Parsons; his son, Christopher Allen Parsons; his parents; and his brother, Bryce Parsons.

There will be a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25 in Orange Beach, Ala.
