Mrs. Wilhelmina Van Wyngarden Rites Saturday

PRAIRIE CITY – MONROE- Funeral services for Mrs. Ira (Wilhelmina )Van Wyngaraden, 80, of Prairie City, a longtime resident of the Prairie City and Monroe communities, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Reformed Church in Prairie City.

The Rev. Daniel Raymaker, pastor of the church, and the Rev. Alexander Haines, pastor of the Prairie City That Christian Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Visitation with the family will be held this evening at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

Memorial contributions to the First Reformed Church in Prairie City will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband; a son, and Leonard Jabaai of Colfax; three daughters, Mrs. Albert (Matilda) Van Zee of Pella, Mrs. Robert (Esther) Aalbers of Runnels and Mrs. John (Berdine) Breed of Monroe; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Joe (Alpha) Vanden Berg of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Neil Jabaai; a son, Marvin; a grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.

Mrs. Van Wyngarden was a member of the First Reformed Church in Prairie City.

The daughter of William and Dena Den Hartog, she was born Oct. 7, 1897 in Mahaska County.

She was married to Neil Jabaai March 16, 1960 at Prairie City and to Ira Van Wyngarden May 16, 1969 at Prairie City.

She died Wednesday evening at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 17 Feb 1978.
