She came with her parents to Iowa in the spring of 1911 and was united in marriage to George Smith of Newburg. To this union two children were born, Helen, aged 4 and Robert Carroll, seven months.

Mrs. Smith accepted Jesus as her savior and united with the Church of God of Newburg in 1913 under the labors of Rev. Jesse Huddle. She lived a devout Christian life. Her great anxiety during her sickness was the welfare of her husband and children after her decease.

She leaves to mourn, her husband and two children, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Anderson, two brothers, Vester and Fred Anderson, three sisters, Mrs. Ollie Princehouse, Mrs. Carrie Byerly and Miss Ruby Anderson.

She has gone over the River with Jesus, there to await the coming of those whom she loved.

Services were conducted at the Church of God by her pastor, assisted by Rev. D.L. Cox. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
