Kenneth D. Patterson, 89, of Grinnell, died on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at his home.A service will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 8, 2015, at Our Silent City Cemetery near Kellogg with Pastor Miles Grismore officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Iowa Army National Guard. A reception will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Grinnell following the service.Should friends desire, memorials may be directed to the Kellogg Volunteer Fire Department and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.

Survivors include his children, Mike (Jane) Patterson of Kellogg, Roy (Debbie) Patterson of Post Falls, ID and Gail (Ron) Clark of Grinnell; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Patterson of Newton; and three sisters, Doris Patterson and Loise Chapman, both of Newton, and Jane Grimm of Colfax.
