SERVICES HELD
Services for Clifford Wayne “C.W.” Tool were held Tuesday, August 13, 2002, at the Monroe United Methodist Church. Pastor Harold Koughn officiated the services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.
Clifford passed away August 10, 2002, at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
Memorials have been suggested to go to the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
The son of Marvin and Sarah (Herwehe) Tool, Clifford Wayne “C.W.” Tool was born September 26, 1914, in Bondurant, Iowa. November 3, 1937, C. W. married Cecile Wheeler in Knoxville. They made their home on the farm for many years. C. W. also was a PAG corn dealer in Monroe. He was a member of Tools Chapel Church in Monroe.
C.W. is survived by his wife, Cecile Tool of Ankeny; a daughter, Cherry Donovan of Ankeny; two grandchildren: Tanner Tool Donovan and Taya Tool Donovan both of Ankeny; and a sister, Beverlee Dickerson of Newton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Sarah Tool; and two brothers, Charles Herwehe Tool and Harold Clifton Tool.

ANKENY - C. Wayne "C.W." Tool, 87, of Ankeny, died Saturday, Aug. 10, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Monroe United Methodist Church in Monroe. Burial: Silent City Cemetery, Monroe. Memorials: Skiff Medical Center, Newton. Garden Chapel Funeral Home of Pella is in charge of arrangements. Visiting hours begin 2 p.m. today at the church, with family present 6:30-8 p.m. today.

C.W. was born Sept. 26, 1914, in Bondurant to Marvin and Sarah Herwehe Tool. He had lived 11 years in Ankeny, and had lived in Newton for six years.

He married Cecile Wheeler on Nov. 3, 1937, in Knoxville. He had farmed near Monroe, and also was a PAG dealer. He was a member of Tools Chapel Church in Monroe. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, doing latch-hook, watching ducks, gardening, having visitors, and his two dogs Garvey and Girly.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Tool of Ankeny; a daughter, Cherry Donovan of Ankeny; two grandchildren: Tanner Tool Donovan and Taya Tool Donovan, both of Ankeny; and a sister, Beverlee Dickerson of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Charles Herwehe Tool and Cliffton Harold Tool.

Funeral services for Clifford Wayne ("C.W.") Tool, 87, of Monroe were held August 13, 2002 at the Monroe United Methodist Church in Monroe, the Pastor Harold Koughn officiating. Music was provided by organist Nora De Reus and special music by pianist Stephanie Crann and Randy Escobedo on the Banjo.

Interment was at the Silent City Cemetery in Monroe. Casket bearers were Dr. Angel Martin, Greg Steensland, Sean Stovers, Phil Cummings, Cherry Donovan, Ron Glassman and Tanner Donovan.

Clifford Wayne "C.W." Tool, the son of Marvin and Sarah (Herwehe) Tool, was born September 26, 1914 in Bondurant, Iowa. He passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2002 at the Skiff Medical Center in Newton at the age of eighty-seven years, ten months and fifteen days.

On November 3, 1937, C.W. was united in marriage with Cecile Wheeler in Knoxville. They made their home on the farm for many years. C.W. also was a PAG corn dealer in Monroe.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting, doing latch-hook, watching the ducks, gardening and having visitors at his home. C.W.'s grandchildren inspired him to continue his struggles in life in order to watch them mature and grow. He was loved by his family and his two dogs, Garvey and Girly.

C.W. was a member of Tools Chapel Church in Monroe.

He is survived by his wife, Cecile Tool of Ankeny; a daughter, Cherry Donovan of Ankeny; two grandchildren; and a sister Beverlee Dickerson of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Sarah Tool; and two brothers: Charles Herwehe Tool and Harold Clifton Tool.

Arrangements were handled by Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella.

Memorials may be made to the Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
