HELD IN KELLOGGKellogg. Special
Funeral services for Mrs. F.W. Bunker, 75, who died at Skiff Memorial hospital in Newton Tuesday afternoon, were held from the Methodist church there Thursday afternoon with the pastor, Rev. Mr. Logan in charge, assisted by Rev. J.O. Smith, pastor of the Kellogg Christian church. Burial was made in the Newton Union cemetery beside her husband.
Born in Scott County, July 28, 1863, she was united in marriage to F.W. Bunker, December 18, 1884. Three years later they moved to Jasper county, locating near Kellogg where they resided until 1914 when they went to Newton to make their home. Mr. Bunker died in 1935 and since that time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Andrew Paulson, who resides east of town.
She was a member of the Newton Methodist church and the American Legion Auxiliary there and was active in both until failing health prevented. Surviving relatives include four daughters, Mrs. N.R. and Mrs. Andrew Paulson of Kellogg, Mrs. W.R. Stanley of Newton and Mrs. Roy Tweet of Mount Sterling, Ill.; four sons, Dr. Orville and Dr. Fred and Glen of Newton and Ervin of Glendale, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. J.R. Dose of Stockton, Iowa and 14 grandchildren.
