Frances Irene Stock
February 19, 1928 - August 14, 2015

Frances Stock, age 87 of Monroe, passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015, at Newton Village. Memorial services will be held on Friday, August 21, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Monroe. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be directed to the First Baptist Church or the Monroe American Legion and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The daughter of Ward and Emma (Reedy) Mason, Frances was born on February 19, 1928, in Geneva, Iowa. On April 17, 1949, she was united in marriage to Dilman Earl Stock at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Frances worked until her retirement at the telephone company. She enjoyed playing cribbage, baking her famous "Snickerdoodles" knitting, crocheting, gardening, and her most enjoyable thing to do was spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Those left to honor her memory include her daughter-in-law, Judy Stock of Monroe; two grandsons, Jason (Stephanie) Stock of Monroe and Jeff (Tracy) Stock of Bellevue, Nebraska and eight great grandchildren, Collin, Taylor, Avery, Owen, Emma, Dillon, Riley, and August. Also surviving are sisters-in-law, Pat Stock of Hampton and Lois Stock of Dumont, Lou (Jerry) Miller of Hampton and Carol (Dick) Miller of Mesa, Arizona as well as several nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, Dilman, son Randy Stock a sister, Helen Mennen and a brother, Harold Mason. ~ The Coburn Funeral Home, Colfax, Iowa 14 Aug 2015.
