Donald Lee Campbell, was born December 29, 1961 in Centerville, Iowa, to Richard Dean (Dick) and Norma Lee Campbell and passed away June 23, 2013 at home in Mingo, Iowa at the age of 51.

Don and his three siblings, Dennis, David and Darla grew up on the family farm near Corydon where Don lived most of his childhood years. Don graduated from Wayne Community High School in 1980 and then went on to college at AIB in Des Moines and completed his BA from Upper Iowa University.

Don was an avid sports fan but especially loved watching Brandon play. He never missed a game or meet – home or away. He was extremely proud of the fact that Brandon is enrolled at the University of Iowa this fall.

Don enjoyed spending time with his family, friends and of course sporting events. He was always there for family gatherings and ready for a good game of pitch with the family or simply setting around the table laughing, joking and picking on someone. He was a man of few words, but with a big heart.

Don has been employed at the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines for the last several years and is a member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona.
