MONROE - Arnold Harlan Tobin, 90, of Monroe died Wednesday, July 23, at his home.

Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with Psator Dan DuRocher of the Colfax First Baptist CHurch officiating. Burial will be at McKeever Cemetery in Colfax.

Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Monday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

Mr. Tobin was born Aug. 29, 1906, in Jamestwon, Ohio.

He married Mary Elizabeth Lewis in 1928, in Colfax.

A longtime resident of Farrar and Monroe, he worked as a farmer.

Survivors include a son, Arthur Arnold Tobin of Cambridge; two daughters and sons-in-law, Norma K. and Darvin Smith of Colfax and Mary Bernice and Elbert Lowe of Nevada; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and a brother. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Fri 25 July 1997.
