MONROE – Funeral Services for Alice Fenoglio Vander Werf, 64, a resident of Monroe since 1946, were held today, Jan. 21, at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

The Rev. Jerry McGee, pastor of the Monroe United Methodist church, conducted services. Burial was in Our Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Monroe United Methodist Church may be left at the funeral home.

Mrs. Vander Werf died Friday at the Newton Health Care Center.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence; a son, Rick of Monroe; a daughter, Jerrilyn Allison of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Bert Fenoglio of Knoxville and James Fenoglio of Cedar Rapids.

Mrs. Vander Werf was a member of the Monroe Mothers Club and the Monroe American Legion Auxiliary.

The daughter of Emil and Alva King Fenoglio, she was born April 16, 1926 in Pershing and was a graduate of Attica High School.

She was married to Clarence Vander Werf Dec. 7, 1946 in Knoxville. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 21 Jan 1991.
