Elzia L. De Vault

COLFAX - Elzia L. De Vault 78, a resident of Colfax since 1989, died Sunday, March 24, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

Cremation has been held.

Survivors are a son, Donald L. Van Elsen of Colfax; a daughter, Celia Lytle of Madison Heights, Mich.; and two grandsons.

Also surviving are three brothers, Harvey of Colo, August of Newburg and Vern of Tempe, Ariz., and three sisters, Goldie (Mrs. Howard) Eldridge of Rhodes, Edna Langham of Des Moines and Rhoda (Mrs. Paul) Walker of Vinton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Eleanor, and a brother, Ralph.

The son of Travis and Mable Bollman De Vault, he was born Oct. 11, 1912 in Davis County and was educated in Rhodes Schools.

He was employed by the Camcar Screw Manufacturing Co., first in Rockford, Ill., and later in Wytheville, Va. He retired in 1978. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 25 Mar 1991.
