PRAIRIE CITY – Frona Maye Gadberry Gadberry, 75, of Prairie City died Wednesday, Feb. 6, at her rural Prairie City home.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City.

The Rev. David Mc Neeley, pastor of the Assembly of God at Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Friends may call after noon Sunday and visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors are a son, Jackie Vaughn; her husband, Harry Gadberry; a brother, Frank Gadberry of Powersville, Mo.; a sister, Opal Keeney of Clinton, mo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two half-brothers and a half-sister.

Mrs. Gadberry, a hotel maid and bartender, was a member of the Christian Church and the Newton American Legion Auxiliary.

She had resided in Missouri prior to moving to Prairie City 17 years ago.

The daughter of Ezra and Anna Goucher Gadberry, she was born Jan. 18, 1916 in Nebraska. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Thurs 7 Feb 1991.
