Those left to honor Bill’s memory are his wife of 62 years, Isabelle of Newton; children, Vicki Schutt of Clive and LeAnn (Dwight) Ponder of Wentzville, Missouri; his four grandchildren, Bethany, Sara, Jason and Brandi; and two great-grandchildren, Royce and Hailey.H

e was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Don and Frank Cox.

Bill served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War.

Bill was a Tool and Die maker at the Maytag Company for 36 years. After retiring he worked for Wal-Mart for 15 years and helped Santa during the month of December each of those years. Bill also had worked for DMACC as a tutor for Adult Basic Education and General Education diploma classes for 20+ years.

Bill was an active member of the Community Heights Alliance Church in Newton.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials to the Community Heights Alliance Church. Memorials may be left at the church on the day of the services or may be left at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. The memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home please add, Attn: Cox Family on the envelope. ~ The Wallace Family Funeral Home, Newton, Iowa 13 Sept 2014.
