MONROE – Belva Wilson, 84, a longtime resident of Monroe, died this morning, April 12, at Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

MONROE – Funeral services for Belva Martin Wilson, 84, a longtime resident of Monroe, were held today, April 15, at the Monroe United Methodist Church.

The Rev. Jerry Mc Gee, pastor of the church, conducted services. Burial was in Silent City Cemetery in Monroe.

Memorials to the Monroe United Methodist Church or the Monroe Emergency Unit may be left at Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Monroe.

Mrs. Wilson died Friday at the Clearview Manor in Prairie City.

Survivors are a daughter, June (Mrs. John) Le Grand of Monroe; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Jack, and a brother, Keith Martin.

Mrs. Wilson was a member of the PEO, the Order of Easter Star and the Monroe Women’s Club.

The daughter of Charles and Clara Oswalt Martin, she was born Sept. 22, 1906 in Runnells and was a 1924 graduate of Runnells High School.

She was married to Floyd D. Wilson Dec. 22, 1926 at Runnells. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa Mon 15 Apr 1991.
